The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie
It is still cool in Michigan, so I’ve decided to make some cookies. Specifically, chocolate chip cookies!
I have made tons of chocolate chip cookie recipes and this, by far, is the BEST. It is originally from Williams-Sanoma Blog and is titled the Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie…and I have to agree. My favorite thing about these cookie is that they stay soft and chewy, even after storing for a couple days!!
The recipe calls for all the usual suspects…flour, brown and white sugar, baking soda, salt (calls for 1/2 tsp. and I use 1 whole tsp.), butter, egg, vanilla and chocolate chips.
The only revisions I make on this recipe is adding a little bit more salt than called for and I use milk chocolate chips instead of semi sweet.
The one thing I will warn you about though, is make sure you bring the butter down to room temperature. These cookies tend not to turn out as good if I warm the butter in the microwave. I try to allow the butter at least 5 hours out of the fridge before I use it.
Hope you all enjoy!!
