The Best Banana Bread
Okay, let’s talk banana bread. It is one of my favorite things to make in the fall and winter months, as it nice to have a sweet that can be had for breakfast or dessert in those chilly months! It also fills the house with an insane, mouthwatering smell…
I found this recipe for The Best Banana Bread on Martha Stewarts website. I was making banana bread cake balls, and that recipe directed me to the Martha Stewart site. The cake balls didn’t end up being very good, but the bread recipe is a keeper!!
I do believe it is so good because it has a not so common ingredient…sour cream. Along with the usual banana bread ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, butter, eggs, baking soda, bananas and vanilla) this recipe adds a half cup of sour cream. Now, most banana bread is moist, but this bread takes it to another whole level. It is simply amazing.
This recipe also comes with a variation. If you prefer frosting with your bread, you could make the optional cream cheese filling for stuffed banana bread!
